Is CBD Legal?
Is CBD Legal? That is a question we often are asked and understandably so as there is a lot of conflicting information surrounding this topic. Let's explain. CBD (or cannabidiol), is an organic compound known as a cannabinoid extracted from hemp, a member of the Cannabis Sativa plant family. It's similar to marijuana, also part of the Cannabis Sativa family, but with one significant difference, THC.
What is THC?
THC is also a cannabinoid and in short, is the psychoactive compound in marijuana responsible for making you high if smoked or ingested. The most significant difference between hemp and marijuana is that marijuana contains small amounts of CBD and large amounts of THC. Hemp is the total opposite and contains trace amounts of THC and large amounts of CBD. As all Flora Farmacy CBD products are extracted from organically grown hemp, our customers can be confident Flora Farmacy CBD oils, vapes, gummies, teas and balms will never get you high!
Do Flora Farmacy CBD Products Contain THC?
No. Although hemp is also a member of the Cannabis Sativa plant family, it is not regulated by law the same way that marijuana is, providing it contains less than 0.3% THC. All our CBD products here at Flora Farmacy are lab tested to ensure they contain the correct amount of CBD, do not contain any contaminants and have no THC. This testing also certifies legality and compliance with current guidelines.
Due to our CBD products lack of THC and the fact they are all legal, carrying CBD around as well as driving after consuming CBD is also perfectly legal.
We hope this has cleared up a few questions you might have had about the legality of CBD. If you have any further CBD questions (related or unrelated), please don't hesitate to contact us..."weed" love to hear from you!
